Map & Driving Directions:

From Astoria, Oregon via Hwy 30 and up the Oregon side of the river: (approximate drive time to ferry: 30-40 min.

• From downtown Astoria, follow Hwy 30 east up river for approximately 26 miles

• As you enter Westport, the speed drops to 40 mph.  The first left turn after the speed zone sign is Westport Ferry Road.

• You will be turning LEFT onto Westport Ferry Road. Go .4 of a mile to the ferry landing.

• Take the Wahkiakum Ferry to Puget Island

• From the Ferry landing, go north on State Route 409 for approximately 1.1 miles

• Arrive at 568 State Route 409. Turn LEFT at the gray mailbox with the silver trough planter onto the large gravel turn-in  at the gray barn. Go through the gate up the driveway to the house. You’re there!

An important note about the ferry schedule:  The ferry leaves the Oregon side at quarter after the hour. You should be at the ferry landing at least by the top of the hour in the “off season” and by quarter to the hour during the summer travel season.  You should plan on leaving downtown Astoria no later than 30 minutes after the hour to catch the next ferry at quarter after. Remember to leave extra drive time during the summer in case you get behind a camper or motor home. Check TripCheck Oregon for any construction delays. The ferry fare is $5 per car. There is no charge for passengers.

From Astoria, Oregon via Astoria Bridge and up Washington side of the river: (approx. drive time: 1 hr)

• Take the Astoria Bridge (US 101) to Washington

• At the end of the bridge, turn right onto Highway 401, go 12.1 miles to Naselle

• Hwy 401 ends at Hwy 4 at Naselle. Turn RIGHT onto Hwy 4  and go 30.8 miles to Cathlamet.

• Turn RIGHT onto Main Street (State Route 409) and go .4 of a mile to the bridge to Puget Island.

• Continue to follow State Route 409 aproximately 2 miles.

• Turn RIGHT at 568 State Route 409 – Arnicadia Farms – large gravel turn-in at barn. Go through gate and up to house and park. You’re there!
